  One of the best meals I've had anywhere. I had the specials of lobster bisque and then a scallop and shrimp dish. Both were delicious. My partner had the pork chops as he isn't as big a seafood eater as I am. The pork chops were out of this world. Not something I thought I would be saying. Blackfin also have a great wine list, and offered two wonderful selections paired to our food. Great service, wonderful food, and the atmosphere is perfect for a group, or a romantic evening for two.

  Be warned... My Wife and I are locals and we decided to try some restaurants we never been to in town. The food was good enough but the waiter suggested the "evening special chardonnay" without mentioning it was the most expensive glass in town, $16/ glass. We had 3 glasses between us. When the check came the wine cost more than the dinners. We complained and he told us to "get out of here!!" We got out for ever. We have dinned all over this town and in the most upscale places we never so much for a glass of common wine.

  Great food. Seems they are busy quite often but never had a long wait to be seated when walking in from street. Small cozy dining area with small bar. Always ordered the fresh catch of day & has been excellent in preparation & presentation. Personally i place more value on food freshness & taste over how food is plated but they have everything covered. Wait time for all food (appetizers, main course, & dessert) took a little longer than some places which we thought was fine. Gave ample time to finish each course without feeling of being rushed. Prices are not cheap but they are about right for the quality of the meal we received.
  
  Last trip to KY this place had best Key Lime Pie out of seven places we sampled.

  My family and I ate at Blackfin Bistro last night and we were not impressed with the food. Our server was wonderful and the salads were really good. The regular entrees and appetizers were warm/cold. The seasoning was bland. Also, my husband asked if he can substitute mashed potatoes instead of french fries and the chef said no, he was able to get green beans instead. Not sure what that was about. Also, my uncle ordered a fish and he sent it back because it tasted too much like mayo. My mom ordered chicken wings that were supposed to be "even roasted." They were clearly fried and they threw some ready made sauce on it. We are locals and go to a lot of restaurants and was surprised that this wasn't good. I heard some good reviews, but our experience wasn't good.
