  Great food, amazing service. They're homemade pasta is the best so make sure you get a pasta dish.

  I had the homemade pasta lasagna. The sauce was really good, the pasta was really delish, BUT! Lets start with what a lasagna should be: A lasagna is a construction of multiple layers of pasta, cheese, and meat sauce (or a vegetarian sauce if you prefer) which is then baked. Traditionally this is constructed and baked in a shallow dish that is the origin of the name. There should be a balance of the three major components, and the right amount of sauce/liquid which is wet, combined with the right amount of cheese and pasta which is more dry. A good pasta is obviously the key ingredient, and there should be enough pasta to make a strong statement. What I got at Antonias was a pie dish full of meat soup, with a few lonely leaves of pasta that had floated to the bottom of the dish. There might have been cheese but it was not detectable as a separate component. There were no layers. Not a lasagna, but a very tasty sauce dumped on pasta in a dish. I guessed that the homemade pasta (which is a speciality of the house) is expensive, so they skimped on it. the result was tasty, but ultimately a disappointment. I actually took about half of it home and used it as a pasta sauce, since after i scarfed up the few lonely leaves of pasta on the bottom of my dish at Antonias, I basically had spagetti sauce left over.
